Editorial Reviews:

Adrienne Dealey has spent the past six years working for hotels in exotic resort towns. This summer she has decided to make Nantucket home. Left flat broke by her ex-boyfriend, she is desperate to earn some fast money. When the desirable Thatcher Smith, owner of Nantucket's hottest restaurant, is the only one to offer her a job, she wonders if she can get by with no restaurant experience. Thatcher gives Adrienne a crash course in the business...and they share an instant attraction.
But there is a mystery about their situation: What is it about Fiona, the Blue Bistro's chef, who captures Thatcher's attention again and again? And why does such a successful restaurant seem to be in its final season before closing its doors for good? Despite her uncertainty, Adrienne must decide whether she’ll move on, as she always does—or finally open her heart…

Customer Reviews:

Great, Fast Read! Nov 30, 2009

Another great from Elin Hilderbrand!! Everything you expect from her, a fast, engrossing read. If you havent read her before, try this and you will soon be a big fan!

Author must have been hungry... Oct 16, 2009

...as she penned this novel. Obnoxiously obsessed about food and drink, this book became incredibly tedious after only a few chapters. References to fine cuisine is acceptable, but not as a main character in the novel. Became nauseating afer a while.

One of my favorite Hilderbrand books Aug 21, 2009

I am totally hooked on Elin Hilderbrand books. They are my favorites summer read. Her newest one is the only one I haven't read yet -- but Blue Bistro is one of my favorites. I love the characters and it really transported me to life on Nantucket. I hope Elin continues to delight us with her stories of this wonderful island.

Great novel for summer reading Jul 21, 2009

Wonderful characters, great menus, plenty of drama. I have loaned this book to four other people and they have all RAVED about it. We're still talking about it months later.

Great Book Apr 28, 2009

I have never been interested in reading romance/love stories but after picking up a free copy of Barefoot at work and reading it on a vacation, I had to read more! Elin Hilderbrand doesn't write a typical love story. Perhaps its the specific time in my life that I am ok with "reading" about love instead of experiencing it in real life. Her books have proven to be an escape for me in a time of trial...thank you Elin.
